When I announced the New York Attorney General Letitia James-forced suspension of my immigration patriot website VDARE.com last summer, and my own resignation as Editor, I said wryly that I would no longer have an excuse to avoid taking my daughters on 4-H events. And so that’s exactly what I was doing on Good Friday, scrambling up West Virginia’s Seneca Rocks in 85-degree heat, with the result that I was too wiped out to repost, as I had intended, what VDARE.com had posted the previous Good Friday.
So here it is:
“IT IS FINISHED”—NYAG Letitia James Crucifies VDARE.com
Good Friday 2024 was the point at which we were forced to acknowledge that, because state and federal courts had refused to protect us against James’ lawfare, we must put VDARE.com into survival mode and devote all our failing resources to the legal battle to keep our writes’ and donors’ names out of her filthy paws.
I got some pushback from wimps who thought the comparison was sacrilegious. But in fact it exactly captured the agony, bitterness, despair—and, especially, the sense of betrayal by putative allies—that I felt, not just on behalf of myself and my wife/ much-beloved business partner and our family, but on behalf of the small civilization of writers, technicians, office staff, donors and readers that VDARE.com had painstakingly built up over 25 years.
And, anyway, Lydia, a serious Catholic and mother of my three Catholic daughters, said it was OK.
The light of Easter succeeds the dark of Good Friday. And it does seem almost providential that news of Letitia James’ possible prosecution for mortgage fraud finally surfaced in Holy Week (e.g. Trump administration seeks criminal prosecution of New York attorney general, by Madeline Halpert, BBC News, April 16, 2025).
We’ve known this scandal has been pending for a while. And, as Lydia said in her recent last-ditch appeal for help to stop Letitia James from seizing our data, we hear rumors of much more.
It all may be just too late for us.
Nevertheless, in the spirit of hope and resurrection, I’m reposting here VDARE.com’s last, 2024, Easter greeting to its cherished readers: Happy Easter From VDARE.com—But Not From The Biden White House, by the great James Fulford.
James had discovered that the the Biden Regime has banned all Christian references from the traditional White Easter Egg Roll and, incredibly, had proclaimed Easter Sunday to be ”Trans Day of Visibility.”
That’s what was going on in America, just a year ago.
Plus James found the usual numerous reports of the “Spring Bunny”—who is still hopping, for now.
And he also listed all VDARE.com’s Easter greetings going back to the beginning.
So now I’m going to echo that tradition: Happy Easter. He is Risen.
He Is Risen Indeed.
