Peter Brimelow is a British-American long-time Main Stream Media financial and political journalist (in U.S., Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Fortune, Forbes, Market Watch, National Review) in U.S.; Financial Post, Macleans, National Post in Canada; columnist for London Times; etc). He is the author of four very different books: The Patriot Game: Canada And The Canadian Question Revisited (1986); The Wall Street Gurus: How You Can Profit From Investment Newsletters (1986); Alien Nation: Common Sense About Immigration (1995); The Worm in the Apple: How the Teacher Unions Are Destroying American Education (2004).
Brimelow’s dissent from Conservatism Inc.’s Open-Borders dogma led to his being purged from Bill Buckley’s National Review, along with Editor John O’Sullivan; and to his progressive exclusion from the Main Stream Media.
On Christmas Eve, 1999, Brimelow launched the immigration patriot website VDARE.com, tightly focused on facts about and analyses of America’s immigration disaster that were at that point otherwise completely suppressed in public debate.
In July 2024, Brimelow was forced to suspend VDARE.com because of the costs of a three-year “investigation” by New York State Attorney General Letitia James—despite the fact that VDARE.com had not been charged with, let alone convicted of, anything at all. This is widely regarded as a classic example of lawfare—the Left’s weaponization of the legal system to crush political opposition. James’ “investigation” grinds on.
